Camden National Bank has appointed Andrew Forbes as chief human resources officer.
In this role, Forbes will lead critical HR functions, such as enabling and cultivating a diverse workforce and driving the company’s commitment to being a great workplace.
Forbes brings over 20 years of experience to his new role. He most recently served as chief people officer at Alcom LLC. He has expertise in talent acquisition and management, compensation, benefits, culture and engagement.
Previously, he held leadership roles including vice president of human resources at Maine Medical Center and senior human resource director at Fairchild Semiconductor.
Forbes holds a master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology from Hofstra University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Maine. Forbes is also a senior certified professional with the Society for Human Resource Management.
“Andrew has experience leading human resources for large, complex organizations, all while keeping people and culture at the center of his work,” said Simon Griffiths, president and CEO at Camden National.
