City nets $125K grant for public health study

The city of Portland will get nearly $125,000 to study ways to collaborate with the county and state to deliver public health services.

The city announced the award, which comes from a $2 million grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, in a press release late last week.

In a separate award, the foundation also granted $250,000 for the Portland office of the National Academy for State Health Policy, which will use the money to provide technical support to implement the federal Affordable Care Act.
