Former Ellsworth nursery property eyed for self-storage units and duplexes
Atlantic Landscape Construction Inc., which bought the former NewLand Nursery and Landscaping Center property in Ellsworth from NewLand owner Steve Elliott in June, is proposing to build self-storage buildings and duplexes there.
Surveyor Steve Salsbury, representing Atlantic owner Chad Francis, told the Ellsworth American that the site is “convenient to the core population” both for living and storing items. The plan for the 9.5-acre property is configured to allow for additional development in the future.
NewLand, which had filed for bankruptcy in early 2016, has relocated to Hancock.
