If you're looking for something other than lobster rolls in Bar Harbor, then a new quick-service chicken-centered eatery may be just the ticket.
Salinity Restaurant Group, the hospitality team behind local eateries Testa's Bar & Grill, Graffiti Donuts and the Loft Raw Bar & Seafood Grill, has opened Maine Chick.
The chicken restaurant is located at 15 Cottage St., in the centrally located Bayside Landing complex.
Chris Kemna, the restaurant’s general manager, told Mainebiz that the restaurant aims to fill a gap in the Bar Harbor dining scene, offering non-seafood dishes.
"As soon as the space became available, we seized the opportunity to further our goal of turning Bayside Landing into a food destination," said Kemna.
Maine Chick hopes to attract visitors and locals alike. The menu includes crispy tenders, wings, house-made nuggets, stacked sandwiches and fries, along with beer, wine, liquor and signature slushies.
Customers order at the counter and then have the food brought to them.
Maine Chick is in the space that was previously occupied by Jennie's Great Maine Breakfast downstairs and Improv Acadia upstairs.
The eatery, whose vibe is modern farmhouse chic, is open daily from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., with extended hours planned over the summer.
