With the acquisition of a surveying and mapping firm in Stuart, Fla., Bangor-based engineering firm Haley Ward has now acquired five companies over the past year.
For more than 25 years, Betsy Lindsay Inc. has provided surveying and mapping services to Palm Beach, Martin County and St. Lucie County, Fla. The 15-member office has worked with municipalities, and commercial and private clients.
Last year, Haley Ward, which already had an office in Fort Myers, Fla., acquired the MilCor Group, an engineering firm with offices in Hobe Sound and Port St. Lucie. The acquisition of Betsy Lindsay also expands the Haley Ward footprint to the Treasure Coast of Florida.
“We know that this partnership will allow us to offer even greater value and expertise to our clients throughout Florida,” said Denis St. Peter, president and CEO of Haley Ward. “By joining forces, we will be able to offer a wider range of services, including aerial surveying and drone mapping, as well as providing a broader geographic reach. Our combined team of professionals has decades of experience and will provide clients with unparalleled knowledge, skills and expertise.”
During the transition, the firm will be known to its clients as Betsy Lindsay, a division of Haley Ward.
“Haley Ward has a demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent services and adding value to its clients,” said Betsy Lindsay, president and founder of the certified minority/woman-owned company. “When we met Denis, Travis and the rest of the team, we knew that it would be a great fit for us, our employees, and our clients. We look forward to continued growth and success with the Haley Ward team.”
This is the second acquisition in the last month for Haley Ward, which now has offices in Bangor and Portland; Portsmouth, N.H.; Auburn, Leominster, Chelmsford and Maynard, Mass.; Glastonbury and Winsted, Conn.; and Port St. Lucie and Hobe Sound, Fla. In March, the firm announced it had acquired Final Draft CAD LLC, a building information modeling firm based in Portland.
Haley Ward is an employee-owned professional engineering, environmental and surveying consulting firm with approximately 200 employees. The company is ranked No. 6 among the largest engineering firms in the 2023 Mainebiz Book of Lists. The rankings are based on the number of Maine-based engineers.
