Idexx ups revenue forecast, splits stock

After reporting a 22% increase in its third-quarter revenue, Westbrook-based Idexx Laboratories yesterday increased its revenue projections for the year from as much as $905 million to at least $915 million and announced a two-for-one stock split.

The company, which manufactures diagnostic products for veterinarians, posted third-quarter net income of $25.8 million on revenue of $229.4 million -- a 3.4% increase in net income over last year's third quarter.

Idexx also announced a two-for-one stock split for stockholders of record that will take effect on Nov. 5 and increase the number of outstanding shares to roughly 61 million.
