KeyBank gives $200K to Maine Medical Center

KeyBank has donated $200,000 to Maine Medical Center in Portland to construct a new waiting room that aims to provide an "aesthetically healing" environment for families.

Maine Medical Center announced the partnership with KeyBank on Tuesday, saying the new room will be called the KeyBank of Maine Family Waiting Room.

Construction of the new waiting room is expected to be finished in 2015, the hospital said. KeyBank's gift also will support Maine Medical Center in making strategic improvements to its neurosurgery department.

"As a company that is committed to keeping our community healthy, we’re excited to be a part of this vital modernization of facilities that will help integrate new technology and bring new and improved service and quality of care to our friends, employees, neighbors and their families every day," Sterling Kozlowski, president of KeyBank in Maine, said in a prepared statement.
