A full slate — and full day — of housing issues are on the agenda for the Maine Affordable Housing Conference, to be held at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor on Tuesday, Sept. 9.
Topics to be discussed will include a focus on legislation that could affect housing, the state of Maine’s economy and its impact on housing and the role modular construction and manufactured housing can play in home affordability.
There will be three group sessions with keynote speakers throughout the day, along with three workshop sessions in between, with four workshops in each. The full agenda can be viewed here.
Among the 40-plus speakers will be Dan Brennan, director of MaineHousing; Greg Payne, senior advisor on housing policy for the Governor’s Office of Policy Innovation and the Future and Amanda Rector, who is Maine's state economist. For a full list of speakers, click here.
The day gets underway with breakfast starting at 8 a.m., and wraps up with closing remarks at 3:45 p.m.
There will also be more than 20 exhibitors on hand; for the full list, click here.
Registration deadline is Monday, Sept. 1.
