The state is receiving $127 million through a bond sale that will help fund several infrastructure and transportation projects across Maine, The Associated Press reported.

Some $54.6 million of the funds will go to the state Department of Transportation for work on bridges, highways, ports, harbors and rails. Other projects include energy upgrades for the University of Maine System and a new science building for the Maine Maritime Academy.
