Maine ranks 35th for 2014 job growth

Maine’s jobs increased by nearly 1% in 2014, placing the state in 35th place for job growth nationwide, according to an analysis by The Pew Charitable Trusts.

The Bangor Daily News reported that the analysis, which found that Maine added 6,000 jobs between December 2013 and November 2014, is based on the latest job change estimates from from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Only 14 states saw job increases of 2%.
