New hires

Sebago Technics, an engineering consulting firm in South Portland, hired Joshua Eon and Andrew Piccirillo as survey technicians.

Community Credit Union in Lewiston hired Pat Belanger as a member representative and Bobbi Mason as a part time member representative at the bank's new Turner branch at 1025 Auburn Road.

Penobscot Community Health Care in Bangor hired Monica Finley as a member of the medical staff at Community Care and Geriatrics. Finley was previously with Intermed in Portland.

Harvard Pilgrim Health Care in Portland hired Jeffrey Sedlack as associate medical director for Maine. Sedlack is currently the part-time medical director for surgical services at the Providence Alaska Medical Center and staff general surgeon at Waldo County Hospital in Belfast.

Mid Coast Health Services in Brunswick hired Kristin Sims as vice president for nursing and patient care services and chief nursing officer. Sims was previously chief nursing officer at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall, Mich.

The Salvation Army of Northern New England in Portland hired Amy Anderson as planned giving director.

SymQuest Group Inc., an information technology company in Westbrook, hired Dana Ryder as a member of its warehouse team.

The New England Real Estate Co. in Camden hired Abby Enggass as a broker.

Pen Bay Healthcare Foundation in Rockport hired Deborah Schilder as director of grant and foundation relations. Schilder was most recently director of planning and development at Broadreach Family & Community Services in Belfast.

Global Spectrum hired Matthew Herpich as general manager of the Cross Insurance Arena in Portland. Herpich most recently served as general manager of the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, Ohio.

Diversified Communications, an international media company in Portland, hired Adrianne Madden as a registration representative.

The Maine Historical Society in Portland hired Kate McBrien as chief curator. Previously McBrien served as curator of historic collections at the Maine State Museum.

The University of Maine School of Law in Portland hired Richard Chen to join the faculty this fall as an associate professor. Chen is a visiting assistant professor at Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, Calif.

S.W. Collins Co., a building, hardware and lumber supply firm in Caribou, hired Leslie Jackson as marketing and advertising manager. Jackson was previously associate director of development and college relations at Northern Maine Community College.

Maine Medical Partners in Portland hired Heather Gillespie as a physician at MMP - Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. Gillespie was previously an associate professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and team physician for the UCLA Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.

Hot 104.7 WHTP in Scarborough hired Miguel Irizarry as an on-air personality and music director. Irizarry was most recently the night personality at Wired 96.5 in Philadelphia.

The Iris Network, a nonprofit in Portland that assists the visually impaired or blind attain independence and community integration, hired Regal Naseef as director of development and communication.

Bangor Savings Bank hired Brian Lizak as branch manager of its Fore Street branch in Portland. Lizak was most recently with Unum.

The Lewiston Auburn Economic Growth Council hired Maura Moody as office manager and public relations coordinator.

The University of Maine at Farmington hired Jared Cash as interim vice president for enrollment. Cash was previously scholarship director with the U.S. Sen. George J. Mitchell Institute for Scholarship and Research in Portland.

NAI The Dunham Group, a real estate firm in Portland, hired Sylas Hatch as a member of its brokerage team. Hatch was previously with KW Commercial.

The Portland Museum of Art hired Louisa Donelson as associate educator for youth learning. Donelson most recently worked as an educator at the Children's Museum & Theater of Maine.

Promotions

Hannaford Supermarkets in Scarborough announced it will promote Michael Vail to president. Vail, most recently chief merchant and supply chain officer for Hannaford parent Delhaize America, succeeds Brad Wise, who plans to retire as president on June 30.

Camden National Bank promoted Stephen Lawrence, senior vice president and commercial real estate lender, to director of the bank's newly formed commercial real estate group. Richard Littlefield, senior vice president and commercial real estate lending officer in Portland, and Dena Parker, vice president and commercial portfolio manager in Manchester, N.H., are other members of the group.

CES Inc., a Brewer-based firm specializing in engineering, environmental science and land surveying, named Dennis Kingman and Pete Tuell vice presidents.

Delta Ambulance in Waterville promoted Shon Dixon and Dan Mayotte to supervisors.

Putney Inc., a pet pharmaceutical company in Portland, promoted Anthony Lucas to the newly created position of senior vice president of scientific and medical affairs.

Evergreen Home Performance in Rockland promoted Justin McEdward to energy advisor. McEdward was previously a field technician.

Acadia Hospital in Bangor named Eric Kuntz, a child and adolescent psychiatrist, to medical director of Pediatric Outpatient Services.

The board of directors at FHC Inc., a firm in Bowdoin that designs, manufactures and markets neuroscientific and neurological devices to target microscopic brain structures, promoted Scott Humphrey to COO. Humphrey was previously corporate vice president of finance.

Maine Savings in Hampden promoted Vanessa Madore to vice president of risk management. Madore was previously assistant vice president of risk management.

Appointments

Maine Farmland Trust in Belfast established a new Policy and Research Fellowship program and appointed Amanda Beal as its inaugural Fellow. Beal is a former president of Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association and Cultivating Community, current chair of the Eat Local Foods Coalition, serves on the boards of the Northwest Atlantic Marine Alliance and the Friends of the Presumpscot River and has been involved with the early work of the Maine Food Strategy.

Acadia Hospital in Bangor announced President and CEO Daniel Coffey has been appointed to the American Hospital Association Governing Council for Psychiatric & Substance Abuse Services. Coffey will serve a three-year term and will work to help shape the association's services and policy in the areas of mental health and addiction treatment. The hospital also announced that Jim Breece has moved from vice chair to chair of its board of trustees and Anne Pooler was chosen to serve as vice chair.

Russell Walters, president of Northern Outdoors in The Forks, was named strategic director for the Adventure Travel Trade Association's two-day educational and networking conference being held in Snowmass, Colo., June 7-8.

Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice in Lewiston achieved Level 1 status by forming a partnership with the national We Honor Veterans organization allowing the hospice to move forward with programs such as the Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteer Program.

WomenCertified, an advocate for female consumers, presented Berlin City Honda in Portland with a Women's Choice Award, based on recommendations from female customers in a customer satisfaction survey.

Jennifer Sporzynski, director of business development services at CEI in Wiscasset, was chosen to participate in the Annie E. Casey Foundation's 2015 Community Development Financial Institution - Leadership Learning Network. Participants were selected after demonstrating a commitment to creating an impact in their target communities and for the children and families living within them.

Bev and Rick Litchfield, innkeepers at Captain Lord Mansion in Kennebunkport, received the Blue Ribbon Small Business Award from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for their success and contributions to economic growth and free enterprise.

The Ellsworth American was named New England's best large-circulation weekly newspaper by the New England Newspaper & Press Association. The weekly and its sister newspaper, the Mount Desert Islander, together earned 51 awards for news reporting, photography, advertising and marketing.

Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice in Lewiston presented its Heart of Hospice Award to United Ambulance in Lewiston. The award is presented to individuals or organizations that embrace the mission of the hospice and put the patient and family first, provide accessible, compassionate, expert hospice and palliative care to members of the communities.

Opportunity Finance Network and Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses announced that Sarah Matel, senior credit officer with CEI in Wiscasset, was selected as one of 24 small business lenders to participate in the Small Business Finance Collaborative. The program is designed to increase small business capacity in lending in underserved communities in the U.S.

Lambert Coffin, a law firm in Portland, announced that nine of its attorneys were named in the latest New England Super Lawyers publication.
