Ingram will lead Tilson's operations and oversee the 600-plus employees of the Portland-based company, which builds and operates network infrastructure for telecom carriers, utilities and government clients across the country.

Among the objectives he'll be tackling are growth of the company's engineering and construction self-performance capability and the hiring of more than 400 employees in 2022, Tilson said in a news release.

The company, which has 18 branch offices nationwide, conducted a national search that drew more than 700 applicants.

"Darrell is a seasoned and trusted leader with a strong track record of leadership, managing growth, and solving customer problems and we are thrilled to have him join the Tilson team in this critically important role," said Tilson CEO Joshua Broder.

For the last seven years, Ingram has served as chief operating officer at Nexius, a national deployment services company based in Texas. In this role, Ingram managed a team of more than 2,500 and led the company to doubling and tripling its revenues year-over- year.

"Tilson has a long track record of delivering trusted customer solutions and I look forward to contributing to a powerful mission building America's information infrastructure," said Ingram. "I'm joining an already fantastic team and look forward to working closely with Josh and the leadership team to help drive the company to its next phase of growth."

Tilson's former COO, Kelly Brewer, was named to that role in 2020. She joined Crown Castle, a real estate investment trust, in November as a vice president of operational strategy and innovation, according to her LinkedIn profile.

"Tilson is deeply grateful for her incredible work at Tilson helping to drive our growth, and also happy for her getting this incredible opportunity at Crown," the company said in a statement.
