UMaine business network reaches goal
Founders of a University of Maine alumni job network say they've recruited 500 businesses and business owners to participate in its online directory that aims to connect graduates with employers and industry mentors.
The Maine Campus reported that the Black Bear Business Network, an idea initiated in October of 2011, recently reached its goal of recruiting 500 participating alumni and have been building a name for the network through social media sites.
The network website also includes blogs from alumni business owners, an alumni business directory and resources from the Foster Center for Student Innovation on how to create a business in Maine.
