Verrill's newest partner brings a wide variety of experience in family law matters

Verrill, a Portland-based law firm, has named Danielle Starr as a partner in its family law group.

Starr focuses her practice on resolving family law matters without the need for court intervention. She has a wide variety of experience in family law matters, including prenuptial agreements, postnuptial agreements, divorce actions, paternity actions, modifications, post-judgment issues and guardianships.

She is licensed to practice in Massachusetts and Maine and serves clients in both states. 

Starr’s accolades include the Best Lawyers in America “Ones to Watch,” Massachusetts Super Lawyers Rising Stars and Boston Magazine’s Top Women Lawyers.

Committed to pro bono representation, she regularly takes on family law matters at no fee, earning her part in the Katahdin Counsel Recognition Program.

Starr is an active Olympia Snowe Women’s Leadership Institute Advisor and recently has been nominated to serve on the board of the Maine Association of Mediators.

She received her bachelor's degree from Skidmore College and her law degree from New England Law in Boston.
