10,500 without power after wind, freezing rain

Freezing rain and heavy winds have knocked out power for around 10,500 customers in the state.
As of 8 a.m., the Bangor Daily News reported nearly 2,000 Emera Maine customers and around 8,500 Central Maine Power customers were without power.
The latest outages come shortly after an ice storm during Christmas week knocked out power to more than 120,000 customers statewide. The National Weather Service predicts that as much as ¾ inch of rain will fall in coastal areas of the state, which is expected to combine with melted snow and clog storm drains.
