SMRT Architects & Engineers has promoted to principal, three professionals working in a range of disciplines in the firm's Bangor and Portland offices.
Ben Halleck is a senior mechanical engineer and project manager based in Portland, leading design and technical efforts for advanced technology facilities. Halleck’s experience spans sectors that include microelectronics, defense, aerospace, IT, life sciences, automotive and additive manufacturing.
Bradley Baker is a senior architect and the sustainability leader in SMRT's Portland office. As a certified Passive House architect with over 17 years of experience, Baker is instrumental in developing SMRT's sustainability practice, including energy, whole-life carbon modeling and environmental justice.
Lura Wade, based in Bangor, is SMRT’s electrical engineering discipline leader, specializing in the design, planning and management of electrical distribution, telecommunications, data networks and lighting systems.

SMRT Architects & Engineers ranks No. 1 among Maine's largest architecture firms in the Mainebiz Book of Lists, with 22 licensed architects and 86 employees. The firm had $30.5 million in revenue in 2024, according to the Mainebiz list published in the July 28 print edition and the upcoming Book of Lists, which will be published Dec. 29.
