A day to recognize the 2020 Mainebiz Business Leaders of the Year

On Tuesday, when Mainebiz was to have honored them at a celebratory reception in Falmouth, Mainebiz salutes four individuals as the 2020 Business Leaders of the Year: Roccy Risbara, Tim Hebert, Jeff Brickman and Kristen Miale.

In a March 23 special edition, Mainebiz recognized all four for their contributions to the state's economy over the past year. More recently, all four have been busier than ever in response to the public health crisis.

Risbara and the team at Crossroads Holdings LLC are developing a mixed-use neighborhood at The Downs in Scarborough, where WEX Inc. (NYSE: WEX) still expects to break ground this summer on a satellite operation. Tim Hebert's STARC Systems in Brunswick is building isolation rooms for health care systems to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

In Lewiston, Central Maine Health Care, led by Brickman, serves on the front lines of the ongoing health crisis. And at Good Shepherd Food Bank, Miale is leading efforts to get food to families in need statewide.

Mainebiz offers heartfelt congratulations to each honoree and their respective organizations. We also thank our sponsors: Northeast Delta Dental, People's United Bank, Verrill and Vistage.

The rescheduled event will take place at a later date, to be announced.

This year, Mainebiz also celebrates 20 years of honoring Business Leaders of the Year, who shared lessons they learned along the way and advice for tomorrow's business leaders in a special anniversary magazine published in March.
