Acai bowl lovers, take note: A new quick service and health-dedicated franchise known for its acai bowls is opening its first of two locations in Maine.
The first Oola Bowls cafe will open at 11 Main St. in the Westbrook Crossing Plaza this Saturday, Aug 9, joining neighbors like Dunkin, Panera and the Picklr. The second location is slated to open on Sept. 13 at 1 Monument Square in Portland.
“We’re proud to be locally owned and operated and passionate about bringing something fun, fresh and feel-good to the Westbrook community. We can’t wait to share our signature bowls," Rick McIsaac, general manager of Oola Bowls Westbrook, told Mainebiz.
The menu will feature acai bowls, grab-and-go snacks, beverages, acai soft serve and parfaits.
During Oola Bowls' grand opening, the first 100 customers will receive a free bowl. Deals will continue all week long with buy one, get one free soft-serve.
The cafe will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Oola Bowls was founded in 2018 and is headquartered in Lancaster, Pa., and most of its 20-plus locations are in eastern Pennsylvania. In New England, it has cafes in Newburyport and Lynnfield, Mass.
