House nixes corp. rights bill

The Maine House of Representatives voted down a bill to deny corporations constitutional rights as people.
The vote yesterday was 124-23 against the legislation, which is related to efforts by municipalities to restrict water extraction, according to the Associated Press. Opponents said the bill is clearly unconstitutional.
