Judge allows Camden inn to expand

The Camden Harbour Inn will be able to add 10 rooms after a court ruled that the town’s decision to allow the expansion was proper.

The Bangor Daily News reported that the ruling in Knox County Superior Court comes after Susan Bryant, an abutter of the inn, filed an appeal of the town’s decision to grant a special exemption that would allow the inn expansion.

Camden Planner and Code Enforcement Officer Steve Wilson told the newspaper that the inn has yet to file a planning application for the previously announced expansion.

Inn owners Raymond Brunyanszki and Oscar Verest purchased the historic Danforth Inn in Portland for $2.4 million in May, with a plan to make $1 million in upgrades.
