Keller Williams Realty Maine’s job fairs draw a broad range of attendees.

Women and men from their 20s to their 70s include some who are not yet licensed but interested in being licensed. Others are licensed or unlicensed and are looking for administrative work, while some who are already active agents but are thinking of joining a team.

The next job fair will be Sept. 23, from 10 a.m. to noon, in the education room of the company’s Portland headquarters at 50 Sewall St. The event and parking are free.

The fair is designed to connect professionals with one of Maine’s largest real estate networks. Attendees will be able to:

  • Explore career opportunities within Keller Williams Realty Maine’s expanding teams
  • Meet team leaders and agents to learn how KW supports professional growth and collaboration
  • Network with industry professionals in a welcoming, entrepreneurial environment

“This job fair gives us the opportunity to meet professionals who are ready to contribute their skills, grow with our teams, and become part of something bigger than themselves,” said Brad Knowles of KW Maine.

With more than 500 agents across the state, KW Maine is the largest real estate brokerage in Maine.

This will be the company’s fifth job fair, which started in the fall of 2023 and have been held every spring and fall since, drawing 100 attendees overall.

From the fairs, three attendees ended up joining the company as sales associates. Five have joined teams, which  operate like small businesses under the KW umbrella, as independent agents. One began freelancing administrative work for agents.

The fairs expose attendees to a number of opportunities.

“Some agents at some point find they need, or prefer, the structure that teams provide,” Marnie Coleman, Keller Williams Realty Greater Portland’s director of operations, told Mainebiz. “Some agents find that they're better suited to the administrative side of real estate, rather than the sales side (or vice versa). Some attendees are in the process of becoming licensed and use this as a way to network and get a feel for our company and teams.”

The fair is still small, but has been consistent and teams now plan for it.

“I'd really like for it to grow and attract real estate professionals from across the state,” she added.
