LePage to promote tax plan with online calculator
Gov. Paul LePage is expected to unveil an online calculator on Wednesday that will be used to promote his sweeping tax reform proposal.
The governor’s administration said the online calculator will let taxpayers compare tax rates and credits under current law and under the LePage proposal, which calls for lower income taxes, the elimination of the estate tax in 2017, an increase in sales rate, among other measures.
