Maine U.S. Attorney collects $2.5M in 2013

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Maine says it has collected $2.5 million through civil and criminal actions in the past fiscal year, which ended Sept. 30, 2013.

U.S. Attorney Thomas Delahanty II said in a press release that his office collected nearly $1.36 million in criminal actions and nearly $1.17 in civil actions.

The office also collected $462,493 in asset forfeiture actions during the last fiscal year.

Last year, the office reported collecting around $1.6 million in criminal and civil actions and in fiscal year 2011 collected close to $2.4 million, according to The Associated Press.
