Reaching milestones is often a moment of reflection and celebration. As we mark the 30th anniversary of reporting on business news in Maine, I find myself overwhelmed with gratitude for your unwavering support and enthusiasm.
Three decades ago, Biz started with a monthly publication reporting on Portland. Mainebiz now publishes bimonthly covering the state of Maine, reports daily on news affecting businesses of all industries, and hosts 14 events celebrating our leaders, our communities and our trailblazers.
Along the way, you have been our companions, our critics and our inspiration. Your passion for business and pride in our state has been the fuel that propels us forward, pushing boundaries and exploring new horizons.
In celebrating this milestone, we also honor the writers, designers, salespeople and all those who have contributed their talents to shape the story of our organization. It is their dedication and creativity that brought the stories of Maine businesses to life within the pages of each issue.
As we stand on the threshold of a new chapter, let us carry forward the spirit of curiosity and wonder that has defined our journey thus far. Let us continue to challenge ourselves and our neighbors, to seek out diverse voices and perspectives, and to champion the voice of local news in Maine.
To our loyal readers, I extend my deepest gratitude for your continued support and friendship. Thank you for being part of our story, and here’s to the next 30 years of adventures yet to unfold.
