Oxford Aviation resumes repairs after reporting hiccup

Oxford Aviation has resumed repair and maintenance work after federal regulators suspended the company’s repair certification for one month.

The Sun Journal reported the suspension resulted from a change in the way airplane repair companies are to report management and personnel changes to the Federal Aviation Administration. Oxford Aviation President Jim Horowitz told the paper the one-month suspension put the company’s work schedule slightly behind but did not cause any serious delays.

The company, which specializes in aircraft painting, refurbishment, maintenance and repairs, employs 60 people in its space at the Oxford County Regional Airport.
