Travel delay bumps LePage from Alberta trade mission

Gov. Paul LePage has canceled his trade mission visit to western Canada, which his office said was the result of a travel delay.

The Associated Press reported LePage was scheduled to travel to Alberta from Sunday through Wednesday but returned to Maine Monday after a travel delay. The governor’s top energy official and his senior economic adviser are still participating in the trip that includes matchmaking sessions and company site visits with prospective business partners in Alberta.

The trade mission was organized by the Maine International Trade Center.
