Spinnaker Trust, a Portland-based wealth management firm, has hired Mariah Mitchell as vice president and associate chief trust officer.
At Spinnaker, Mitchell will collaborate with the chief trust officer to assess risk, manage select client relationships and collaborate across departments.
Prior to this new role, Mitchell was a trust officer with H.M.Payson & Co. and an attorney at Eaton Peabody.
"Mariah's legal background and trust administration experience strengthen our ability to support clients through every stage of the trust and estate planning and administrative process," said Amanda V. Rand, president, CEO and principal at Spinnaker Trust. "Her thoughtful guidance and collaborative approach ensure that the plans our clients have carefully crafted are implemented with care and clarity."
Mitchell received her bachelor's degree from Colby College and her J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law.
She is a member of the Maine Estate Planning Council and the Maine State Bar Association's trusts-and-estates section, and currently serves on the board of Girls on the Run Maine.
Founded in 2000, Spinnaker Trust is chartered as a non-depository trust company that manages over $3 billion. It provides investment management, trust, estate planning and tax services.
